School Disciplinary Rules
At The Adhyyan School, Meerut, we strive to cultivate a disciplined and respectful environment conducive to learning and holistic development. To ensure this, we have established a set of rules and regulations that every student must adhere to. Non-compliance with these rules will lead to consequences as outlined below:
SECTION A
Dear Parents , Kindly read and acknowledge the school’s disciplinary rules outlined below to confirm your understanding and commitment to our standards.
- SEC A1 Students should refrain from wearing or bringing valuable/expensive articles to the school. If our team notices it, it will be confiscated and returned only to the parents. In case of repeated events, we will return the confiscated item to the parents only after submitting a written justification at the end of the session.
- SEC A2 Students should not dirty the school premises or cause any damage to school property, its assets, walls or furniture. If our team notices it, punishment, as decided by the school’s discipline committee, will be applicable, and we will also recover the cost incurred by us to bring it back to shape on an actual expense basis.
- SEC A3 Any student who is late at school will have to submit a written apology for coming late to school, and in case of being late for the third time, we will not allow the child to enter late and will be sent back home.
- SEC A4 Cheating in an Examination is a severe offence, and if our team notices it, the exam in which the child is observed doing it will be cancelled. The child will have to reappear for the exam on the date which the Exam Department will inform. In case of repeating this act for the 3rd time till the child completes his schooling, the child will not be allowed to reappear for the exam and will be given a 0 in that exam.
- SEC A5 Students should mandatorily carry the School’s ID. In case of any issues with the ID card, it should be informed to the school’s office. If our team notices a student without an ID card for the 3rd time, we will automatically issue a new ID card and charge the amount by adding it to the school fees along with a fine.
- SEC A6 It is compulsory for students to come to school in a complete and, neat & clean school uniform. Considering the recent health and hygiene advisories, parents will be called to the school in case of 3rd repetitive warning/observation.
- SEC A7 Students should come to school neat & tidy with trim hair-do. Nails must be clipped short. Mehendi, hair gel, make-up, and nail polish are not permitted. In case of 3rd repetitive warning/observation, the parents will be called to the school.
- SEC A8 It is also compulsory for students to come to school in school uniform with an ID card even when they are coming to attend any event/seminar/PTM/meeting in school. In case of non-compliance, an observation/warning will be mentioned in the student’s record.
- SEC A9 Students suffering from infectious/ contagious diseases shall not be sent to school until complete recovery.
- SEC A10 Birthday celebration is not allowed in the school premises. No distribution of sweets and stationery is allowed on Birthdays. Students will only wear school uniform and no casual dress on Birthdays.
SECTION B
- SEC B1 If our team notices any Electronic gadgets in the possession of students in school which is not required in the school, like CDs, i-pods, headphones, mobile phones, smart watches, cameras, any article having a camera, or any gadget that can connect to internet/network to send or receive data are strictly banned on the school campus. If found, it will be confiscated and will not be returned in all conditions. The confiscated gadget will also be thoroughly checked with an expert’s help. Any inappropriate content recovered/recorded/captured will lead to disciplinary action as decided by the school’s discipline committee.
- SEC B2 Students should remain focused towards their holistic growth and not indulge in any activity related to lending/borrowing money, selling/buying any articles & collecting any subscriptions. If our team notices any such activity, it will be reported to the school’s discipline committee and, depending upon the nature of the complaint.
- SEC B3 Every child should be encouraged to come to the school to engage in learning and self-development. Therefore, if a child is noticed loitering/missing lectures/making excuses to miss out on classes/disturbing the classroom teaching/not following the instructions of the teachers/misbehaving with teachers, it will be considered an act of misconduct and will be reported to the school’s disciplinary committee to decide the punishment depending upon the nature of the complaint.
- SEC B4 Students are advised to use social media platforms ethically and responsibly in case any incident being reported to the authorities that can be classified as misapplication will be considered an act of misconduct and will be reported to the school’s disciplinary committee to decide the punishment depending upon the nature of the complaint.
- SEC B5 Labs and other presentation rooms form a strong foundation for our Experiential learning techniques. Items or lab devices are only to be experienced as per the instructions of the teacher in charge. In incidents of misuse, it will be considered an act of misconduct. It will be reported to the school’s disciplinary committee to decide the punishment depending on the nature of the complaint.
- SEC B6 School Uniform represents the school, and in case any wrongful act which is mentioned in the school rules or can be termed as inappropriate as per the code of conduct is reported to the school of any student wearing the school uniform even outside the school premises will be considered an act of misconduct. The school’s disciplinary committee will decide the punishment depending on the nature of the complaint.
- SEC B7 In the event of any act or incident that can potentially harm the goodwill of the school, the school’s disciplinary committee will decide the punishment depending on the nature of the complaint.
SECTION C
- SEC C1 Firing crackers and splashing colours in the school premises is gross misconduct. Indulgence in these activities will result in the student being expelled from school without even issuance of any warning.
- SEC C2 Students are cautioned for not engaging in any act of violence/aggression, like using abusive language, hitting, shouting, bullying (mental/physical), or other related acts that are done intentionally to cause physical or psychological harm to others will not be tolerated and will result into termination of the admission as soon as the incident is classified into this category.
- SEC C3 Use or bringing of any inappropriate substance (drug/medicine/smoke/liquor) which is classified as harmful to health is strictly prohibited in school and will result in termination of the admission as soon as the incident is classified into this category.
