The Adhyyan School Meerut honored Gandhi Jayanti by celebrating the 153rd birthday of Mohandas Karam Chand Gandhi, also known as Mahatma Gandhi or Bapu & Lal Bahadur Shastri. Through various activities, the School honored this greatest freedom fighter and motivator. His favorite devotional song, Ragupati Raghavaa Raja Ram, was sung by the students to begin the day, which brought back fond memories of the Father of the Nation. Many kids came dressed as Gandhiji and raised slogans spreading Bapu’s messages of nonviolence, truth, and patriotism. They shared their thoughts and feelings regarding this great legendary figure. Teachers briefed students on Gandhiji’s life history and values during classroom discussions. He also explained to the children his “Mission of Cleanliness” and they were motivated to protect the environment. In order to maintain this spirit of cleanliness and also to follow the slogan of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, “Ek Kadam Swachhta Ki Aur”, we must continue to do so. At the end of the day, everyone was reminded that service to mankind is the first step towards achieving cleanliness and godliness.
